Hi all,

I have just deployed vSphere 6.0 in a lab environment for evaluation, and discovered the Client Web Support Plugin was not working/loading (Chrome/FireFox/Safari).

I'm using VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0.mac64.dmg.

Apr 13, 2016  Clone via HTTPS Clone with Git or checkout with SVN using the repository’s web address. Dec 04, 2015 I'm using VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0.mac64.dmg. Upon further investigation, I discovered the 6.0.0 version had not installed, but the 5.5 version was still present. After manually removing 5.5, and attempting to reinstall the 6.0.0 version, I noticed the new plugin was not dropped into the plugins folder. Download links for vCloud Director Client Integration Plugin To improve system security, the vCloud Director 5.6.x and above Client Integration Plug-In (CIP) is no longer bundled with the vCloud Director server installation.

Upon further investigation, I discovered the 6.0.0 version had not installed, but the 5.5 version was still present.

After manually removing 5.5, and attempting to reinstall the 6.0.0 version, I noticed the new plugin was not dropped into the plugins folder.

**EDIT** I should point out the VMware Client Integration Plug-in.app is dropped into the Applications folder, but has a generic icon. **EDIT**

After reviewing the console logs, I discovered:

12/4/15 3:09:45.238 PM ReportCrash[1425]: Saved crash report for vmware-csd-installer[1424] version ??? to /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/vmware-csd-installer_2015-12-04-150945_(hostname-redacted).crash

I have attached the full crash report to this post.

There is nothing during the installation process to imply a failure, which makes me think there is at least part of the installation script which is not properly reporting or responding to an error state of one of the sub-components.

Any suggestions for resolving this issue? Any possible update with a fix already in the pipeline?
